High Quality Multiple Process Treatment – Modular Floating Pit Treatment - MFPT
Extremely high water quality can be achieved with our MFPT systems. 90% of Acid Solutions patented MFPT systems float in the water to be treated allowing fast installation and requiring no earthworks or permanent infrastructure. The high volume MFPT systems can be installed within a matter of weeks and treat up to 1 million litres per hour with a single, dual or multiple stage process. These specialised modular systems are a fully mobile systems and can be self powered for remote and difficult sites.
The MFPT systems deliver a very fast, flexible and cost effective high quality water treatment solution.

Insitu Treatment - of large dams and lakes containing several Million litres to many Gigalitres.
We specialise in large volumes of highly acidic, low pH metal contaminated water.
Targeting contaminants, we have accurately and efficiently applied over 140 tonnes of regent in less than 11 days.

Inline Treatment  – of flowing water at rates up to many millions of litres per hour.
Treatment of either pumped water or flowing river systems, (like the Murray River) can be accomplished accurately and safely – (the CRAB machine has an accurate reagent output rate from 1 kg/Hr to over 4 Tonnes per hour.) We have many specialised application systems for this purpose.
Mine extraction pits that have filled with contaminated water from rainfal runoff are usually dewatered and treated in a single process saving time and money.  Treatment while dewatering means you don’t need to think about treatment after the water has been pumped.  

Neutralisation of Acid forming rock and soil.
We accurately apply specialised neutralising reagents to many hectares of Acid forming sites.
Many types of large and difficult sites are treated such as waste rock dumps, PAF sites and rock faces.
Our treatments quickly deal with the problem providing several benefits-
1. The reagents neutralise the existing acidity held on and in the rock structure.
2. The treatment provides a lasting coating to help stop further oxidation and formation of acid.
3. Residual alkalinity helps to neutralise acidic water passing over or through the rock or soil providing long lasting protection of acid forming sites.

We use a range of machines and application systems to suit the
many difficult and extremely large sites thought to be untreatable.

Types of sites we treat:

• Mining, Wet season contaminated catchment water and Tailings Dam water
  Mining companies must meet specific water quality requirements to keep their extraction license operational. Acid solutions understands these requirements and has helped many companies avoid the heavy financial penalties that government authorities are now imposing.
  
• Contaminated reuse supplies
  Neutralise Acidity and eliminate corrosion of plant and equipment. Acid Solutions can quickly neutralise the acidity of the valuable water required for use throughout the site plant, ensuring the reduction of costly breakdowns of plant and equipment.
  
• Drinking water supplies
  We provide water treatment to outlying areas and town water supplies, (capacity - many gigalitres) very quickly and cost effectively. Perfect for places where large and costly infrastructure is not a viable option. We can restore contaminated water to drinking water quality, sometimes for less than 20 cents per Kilolitre. Whether the treatment is the removal of suspended solids, pH manipulation or decontamination at the source of a toxic algal bloom, Acid Solutions provides the cost effective solution.
  
• Powerstations and Reverse Osmosis
  The operational running costs of many types of processes can be reduced with the use of the Acid Solutions CRAB™ treatment system. Supply water used for Reverse Ozmosis, steam turbines and process cooling can be cleaned, pre use. This ensures Infrastructure downtime, cleaning and maintenance are kept to a minimum, which greatly reduces costs.
  
• Construction and Quarries
  Many quarries and construction sites suffer when excess rainfall slows or stops production. Acid Solutions treats these sites quickly allowing dewatering and continuation of works.
  
• Rivers, Streams, Swamps and wetlands
  Our treatments neutralises pH, Acidity and toxic dissolved metals, formed in swamps and highly acidic areas, thus eliminating the potential for fish kills. We have a range of machines and application systems to protect the environment and suit the many difficult and extremely large sites thought to be untreatable. The CRAB™ and associated systems are being used to treat over 400 Hectares of tidal creeks, drains and tea tree swamps for various Government departments.
  
• Large Lakes and Dams
  The CRAB's mobile treatment capabilities can treat many millions of litres per hour & successfully treat dams over 100 hectares. We specialise in large, difficult to access and environmentally sensitive sites.
  
• Abandoned mines
  Acid Solutions regularly treats abandoned mines for Federal and State Governments and are regularly being requested to treat contaminated water in unused submerged extraction pits and shafts to allow further mining now that ore values have increased.
  
• Abattoirs, Wood preservation Plants and Paper Mills
  Abattoirs, wood preservation plants and paper mills sometimes produce severe contaminants in their holding dams and process water. Acid Solutions can quickly and very cost effectively solve these problems.
  
• Acid Forming rock faces and waste rock dumps
  large areas of acid forming and dissolved metal leaching sites can be treated quickly and efficiently,
  neutralising and blocking further oxidation without costly capping or earthworks.
  

Difficult to access and sensitive sites

Transport and site accessibility is exceptional
The CRAB CX750 has been lifted by helicopter into difficult and inaccessible areas.
Acid Solutions unique systems and reagent supply trucks and loaders do not need to destroy the fragile flora near the treatment site setup and loading can be done several hundred metres from the site if access or sensitivity of the environmental surroundings is an issue thus preserving the natural habitat.

Water management consulting and analysis

Acid Solutions supply a full water and site analysis service for a complete water treatment configuration to meet each sites requirements.
The methods we use for water analysis are the same used in most high level testing laboratories around the world.
The water quality results returned carry NATA approved analysis.

We regularly work with the client's water consultants

Acid Solutions often provide "treatment only" services for consultants and/or the end-client if requested.
We will gladly work with stand alone consultants or the clients preferred consultant working within tight time frames where an urgent water treatment start and quick completion is vital.
